Two of the strangest games on our radar just moved forward on the same day.
A Game About Being A Parrot: demo out now
The free demo for A Game About Being A Parrot is live on Steam right now. The pitch is exactly what the title promises: you are a parrot, and your job is to ruin everyone day. Steal things, break what you cannot steal, make noise, and wreck carefully arranged rooms.
If you have been curious whether the joke sustains past the trailer, the demo is the cheapest possible way to find out.
Inferno Protocol locks in August 29
Inferno Protocol now has a release date: August 29, 2026. It is a co-op survival horror game for up to six players set in a labyrinth that rearranges itself while you are inside it.
The design leans hard on that instability. There is no reliable map, so you spray walls, drop chalk, and leave objects as breadcrumbs, then discover that some of the hand-drawn maps you find are actively lying to you. Memory is the real navigation system.

- Dice Hoarder, the cozy game about sorting roughly 2,800 dice into complete sets, has opened its Steam page.
- Bodycam released a developer diary on its audio design, covering how gunfire echoes through rooms and how footsteps change by surface.
