Mistfall Hunter Banned 76 Players for Teaming, and the Community Voted for the Rule First

Extraction games have a persistent problem: players from opposing teams quietly agreeing not to fight each other, farming loot in peace while everyone else plays the actual game. Mistfall Hunter just did something about it.

Teaming is now a bannable offence

Developer Bellring Games has added teaming with enemy squads to its list of punishable behaviour, and issued its first wave of 76 suspensions.

The community voted for it

What makes this notable is how the rule was introduced. The studio put it to a community vote, and more than 80% backed the change before it was enforced. Rather than imposing a policy and absorbing the backlash, the developers established a mandate first.

It is a small thing, but it is a genuinely smart approach to competitive integrity in a genre where the line between clever play and collusion is often blurry. Players are far more likely to accept enforcement they asked for.
