You are a gnome. You have been given a special quest: save the world. The way you do that is by wreaking total havoc in a clothing outlet store.
That sentence is not a joke summary. It is the actual pitch from developer Vetkoek Studios.
What you actually do
Customise your gnome
Before the mayhem begins, you build your gnome. Then you take it into retail stores, restaurants, offices, and other locations chosen specifically because gnomes have no business being in them.
Outrun the knights
Someone has to stop you, and in this world it is knights. They are not enemies you fight; they are a pursuit problem. Agility, cunning and speed are the listed tools, which puts this closer to a chase game than a combat RPG.
Fulfil your destiny
The structure underneath is a genuine quest line. The comedy comes from the gap between the epic framing and the fact that you are a garden ornament knocking over a display of jeans.
Why this fits a pattern worth noticing
Gnome Game belongs to a growing category of games built around being a small chaotic creature in a place designed for humans. A Game About Being A Parrot does it with a bird. Untitled Goose Game did it with a goose and became a cultural event.
The formula works because it inverts the usual power fantasy. You are not strong, you are just deeply inconvenient — and every environment built for orderly human behaviour becomes a playground the moment something small and unbothered walks into it.
