Hubble Bubble

DETAILS

  • Studio: Parita Games
  • Genre: Co-op
  • Platform: PC, Steam
  • Status: Released

Hubble Bubble is a co-op shop simulator whose best idea is that the gravity turns off.

You and up to three friends run Ghalyan’s Hookah Lounge on a space station. The previous owner left in a hurry. Nobody asked why.

Chart credential: entered the Steam 250 weekly chart as a new entry at #29, scoring 7.12 from 38 reviews at 97% positive. Released 23 October 2026 by Parita Games.

Key features

Preparation is a multi-step physical task

Pack the bowl, stretch the foil, poke the holes, heat the coals — then do it again faster because table six is losing patience. Alongside it you brew coffee, blend drinks, microwave burgers and deliver each order to the right alien.

The shop simulator genre usually abstracts preparation into a progress bar. Making it four discrete physical actions is what gives a four-player kitchen something to divide up, and it is why the co-op has a shape instead of four people doing the same job in parallel.

Everything runs on physics, including you

Touch a hot coal and you catch fire. Stand at the wrong hatch and you get launched into space. Fall and you hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. Proximity chat means everyone hears the panic before they see the cause.

The gravity generator is unreliable by design

Without warning the station loses gravity, and hookahs, coals, customers and crewmates all lift off the floor. When it returns, everything in the air lands at once.

This is the mechanic that separates it from the dozens of co-op shop sims released this year: it periodically invalidates the room you organised, and the game keeps taking orders while it happens.

The caveat

A 97% rating on 38 reviews is a very small sample. That is normal for a chart debut and it is not a red flag, but it is not yet evidence of a game that holds up past the first session either.

Steam’s content notice is also worth reading: hookah preparation and smoking are the core activity, shown as a social ritual rather than glamorised, and online co-op carries unmoderated proximity voice chat.
