Fofumia is a cozy organizing game about Amanda, Luno and the Fofunos — one-eyed kittens from another dimension who are curious, hyperactive and clumsy enough to keep knocking over the things you are trying to tidy. Steam lists a 13-level campaign set in locations around the world, roughly 600 items to sort, hand-drawn illustration throughout, and a short story attached to each level.
Chart credential: Fofumia debuted at #45 on the Steam 250 seven-day chart for the week of 7 September 2026, with a 7.01 score from 38 reviews at 95% positive, after releasing on 2 September 2026.
Key features
A creature that actively undoes your work
The Fofunos get in the way while you organize, sometimes affectionate and sometimes hyperactive. This is the design decision that separates Fofumia from the rest of the tidying genre. Organizing games are pure convergence — the board only ever gets closer to solved — and that is exactly why they run out of tension by level six. An agent that pushes the board back the other way restores a reason to keep playing without adding a timer or a fail state.
Thirteen levels, each a self-contained story
Steam describes each level as its own short story in a different world location. Cozy games usually carry narrative as flavour text between mechanical stages; binding one story to one location gives a reason to change the entire item vocabulary each level, which is the real defence against 600 items starting to feel like the same 60 repeated.
Hand-drawn art and a stated no-AI position
The store page states the game was made by humans without the use of AI. In a genre where the visual style is most of the product, that claim is a purchasing signal as much as an ethical one — buyers of hand-illustrated cozy games are increasingly checking, and studios that can make the claim now say so up front.
Where to find it
