Worker placement where the workers are the engine

Dragons are placed in shops to gather resources, which are then spent on enchantments that trigger ability combos. The reason this reads as cozy rather than punishing is that placement is additive — a dragon in the wrong shop is a smaller gain, not a loss. Strategy games usually generate tension through denial; Flamecraft generates it through opportunity cost only, which is a meaningfully gentler design.

1–5 players with a real solo mode

Steam lists single-player, online PvP, shared/split screen and cross-platform multiplayer. Board game adaptations often treat solo as an afterthought bot match. Supporting one through five at the same table is what makes the digital version useful: it is playable at whatever size your evening actually is.

Accessibility options are unusually complete
