Dravo’s Twisted Show is a co-op horror survival game in which up to four players become “totally willing” contestants on a carnival game show. You earn tickets by winning carnival games and by pulling off cooperative routines that force the team to split up, communicate and take risks, then spend those tickets either on opening the exit or on gear for what is still coming. A cast of hostile performers patrols the map, and the game runs on physics and proximity voice chat.

Key features

One currency, two incompatible uses

Tickets buy the exit or they buy equipment, and never both. That single decision is what gives the game its argument: every purchase is a bet on whether the team can survive longer, and because the group shares the pool, it has to be argued out loud rather than optimised silently.

Proximity voice chat as a horror mechanic

Voice carries by distance, so splitting the party to cover more carnival games is also the act of cutting yourself off from help. Proximity chat is common in co-op horror; what matters here is that the objectives actively reward separating, which puts the mechanic and the fear in the same place instead of leaving it as flavour.

Scavenging that is mostly junk on purpose

You can buy what you need at the store or scavenge the map, where the developers freely admit most of what you find is useless. Making the majority of pickups worthless is what makes the rare healing soup or reviving cross feel like a find — a loot table where everything is useful is a loot table with no texture.
