Sniper Dan is a family-friendly 3D hidden object game in which the pointing device is a sniper rifle. Dan is not hunting people — he is hunting problems. Each job runs the same three beats: work out the problem from the clues, find it by scoping the area, then fix it with one accurate shot. Over 160 jobs are spread across six 3D locations, from villages and farms to parks and airports, alongside bonus modes including Time Attack, Ammo Hunt and Snapshot Mode.

Steam 250 week chart: new entry at #45, score 7.24 from 67 reviews (94% positive), released 17 September 2026. Chart source: Steam 250 week ranking.

Key features

A violent tool pointed at harmless work

The whole design rests on one inversion: the sniper rifle, the most loaded object in games, is used to fix rusty taps and misbehaving machines. That joke does real mechanical work — the scope gives a hidden object game a zoom, a steadiness problem and a single committed input, which a mouse cursor never had.

Every job is a small mystery, not a checklist

You are given cryptic clues rather than a list of objects, so the search only begins once you have worked out what is actually wrong. Solutions can change between playthroughs, which is the fix for the one flaw every hidden object game has: once you know where the thing is, the scene is spent forever.

A hub that gives the jobs somewhere to go

Between contracts you upgrade the rifle, decorate an office and grow the business, with optional and boss jobs paying more. Hidden object games traditionally end at the edge of the scene; a progression hub converts a pile of puzzles into a reason to start the next one.
