Knowing where something goes is the puzzle

Most tidying games ask you to match an object to an obvious slot. Here you have to work out what an artifact actually is before you can shelve it, which turns cleaning into identification and gives the genre something it usually lacks: a wrong answer.

Keys gate the museum, so the map is the progression

Locked exhibit wings open as you find keys, so the space itself is the reward structure. That is closer to how a Metroidvania is built than how a cleaning sim usually is, and it is why the loop survives past the first hour.

Dinosaur skeletons are the long-form goal

Fossils are collected piece by piece and assembled into complete displays. It gives the game a collection track that runs underneath the room-by-room cleaning, so there is always something unfinished to come back to.
