Key features

Two decks, not one

You build an attack deck and an exploration deck separately. Most deckbuilders make you spend one resource pool on both fighting and moving; splitting them means a bad combat draw does not also strand you, which removes the single most common cause of an unrecoverable run.

You eat the enemies

Mushroom foes are consumed rather than only defeated, and eating them feeds back into your deck. It replaces the usual post-fight reward screen with a decision made during the fight, so combat and deckbuilding stop being separate phases.

First-person dungeon crawling

The card layer sits inside a first-person crawler rather than a flat map. That framing gives spatial meaning to a genre that usually abstracts movement into nodes, and it is the reason the game reads as a dungeon crawler that happens to use cards.
