You have been hired by Big Auto to unleash the Freedom of Car Dependency on unsuspecting townsfolk. Published by the legendary MicroProse, Car Park Capital is a satirical tycoon-sim about designing the slickest parking lots ever seen, then convincing citizens they absolutely need them.

Overview

The car industry needs you to design and build the greatest car parks simple town life has never seen. Introduce car commuting, turn neighborhoods into car parks, and use propaganda to convince people to pay you for it — while fighting those who see through your oily business.

Key features

Pave paradise, put up a parking lot

Buy land, demolish homes, and build the parking lots of your dreams, from endless flat seas of asphalt to towering 3D structures, in a real-time simulation with hundreds of vehicles and (bald) citizens.

Manufacture demand with propaganda

Read anyone s thoughts to see whether they have embraced cars yet, then use glossy pro-car propaganda, shiny statues, billboards, and megaphone slogans to turn every townsperson into a carbrain.

Crush dissent, drill for oil

Control anti-car protests before they shatter your reputation, distract unhappy citizens with a Ferris Wheel for cars, rival public transport at every turn, and drill for oil, because a full tank is a full heart.

Sharp satire, plus mod support

Track everything in the Stat-o-matic and watch the numbers go up. Car Park Capital fuses strategy and simulation with pointed social commentary on car dependency and urban development, and supports Lua-based modding.
