HOPE 01 is a single-player extraction survival RPG with multiple endings. You wake in a deteriorating underground facility with nothing but a request to find HAB 01, then explore an interconnected labyrinth, help the survivors you meet, and ultimately decide the fate of humanity. The extraction loop is intact — loot a run, get out alive or lose everything — but there is no PvP lobby waiting on the other side of it.
Steam 250 week chart: new entry at #37, score 7.40 from 98 reviews (94% positive), released 15 September 2026. Chart source: Steam 250 week ranking.
Key features
Extraction stakes without another player ruining the run
You bring loot back to your hideout or you die and lose it. That tension is what makes extraction shooters compelling, but in most of them the thing that kills you is a better-geared stranger. Removing PvP keeps the loss pressure and removes the matchmaking problem, which is the single most common reason players bounce off the genre.
Over 70 weapons separated by real ballistic properties
Weapons differ by rate of fire, muzzle velocity, reload time and penetration rather than by a single damage number. That gives the loadout screen an actual decision to make: penetration matters against armoured enemies, muzzle velocity matters at range, and no one gun covers both.
A fabricator that converts a dead run into progress
Scanned items go into a fabricator holding over 200 entries, so anything you find once can be printed later at the hideout. This is the mechanic that stops a lost run from being wasted time — you keep the knowledge even when you lose the loot, which is what makes a permadeath economy survivable over dozens of hours.
