Self-publishing a co-op turn-based game is a harder engineering brief than the genre suggests, because networking a game of turns means networking a game of waiting: the studio has to make one player’s thinking time legible to the other. Resummon shipped Forsworn with online co-op at launch rather than as a later patch.
