Cat Me If You Can

DETAILS

Cat Me If You Can drops you into black-and-white comic-style 3D worlds and asks you to find cats and photograph them, which returns colour to the scene. There are nine handcrafted levels across three themed worlds, more than 725 cats, and over 50 quests and puzzles — some cats are behind riddles, locked doors or contraptions rather than simply hidden. Settings range from Ancient Egypt to modern Japan to medieval castles, each built from real-world cultural detail.

Chart credential: new entry at #33 on the Steam 250 seven-day chart, scoring 7.11 from 44 reviews. Released 8 September 2026.

Key features

Colour as the progress bar

Finding a cat paints part of the world back in. Tying progress to the art rather than a counter means you can read how far through a level you are by looking at it, which removes the UI clutter that hidden-object games usually need and keeps attention on the scene where the next cat actually is.

Puzzle-gated cats, not just camouflaged ones

Locking some cats behind riddles, doors and contraptions stops the whole game from being an exercise in scanning texture. It gives the difficulty somewhere to go once your eye adjusts — which is the point where most search games run out of material.

An accessibility list longer than the feature list

The store page lists camera comfort options, colour alternatives, custom volume controls, adjustable difficulty, play at your own pace, playable without timed input and save anytime. For a game whose whole appeal is unhurried looking, shipping those as real toggles rather than marketing is what makes the cozy claim true.
